I was born and raised in a small town called Usta Muhammad, in Balochistan. A place where many people still believe that success means a government job or a small business in the local market. The internet was slow, opportunities were limited, but dreams were big.
In Urdu, there is a famous saying:
“چادر دیکھ کر پاؤں پھیلاؤ”
It means “live within your limits.” In my hometown, this line is often used to stop people from dreaming big. But even as a child, I thought differently. I used to tell myself, instead of keeping my feet small for a short blanket, why not work hard to make a bigger one?
“میں سوچتا تھا چھوٹی چادر میں پاؤں سمیٹنے کے بجائے کیوں نہ چادر ہی بڑی کی جائے۔”
I never had many resources, but I always had curiosity. I wanted to know how people sitting far away could earn from a computer. While most of my friends spent time talking about cricket or politics, I spent hours at internet cafes reading about blogs, websites, and freelancing.
People around me did not take it seriously. Some laughed when I said I wanted to work online. They said there is no real work on the internet. But I kept learning small things every day.
I started as a reporter while I was still in school. That experience taught me how to write, how to listen, and how to understand people. Later, I worked at newspapers in Quetta, from proofreading to sub-editing. The pay was small, but it gave me something more valuable, the power of communication and connection through words.
Over time, I realized that writing and communication could be more than just a job. I wanted to use these skills in new ways, to reach more people and build something of my own. That thought slowly pushed me toward the digital world.
I started offering press release writing and translation services on Fiverr. It was my first real experience of earning online. I still remember the feeling when I received my first order, small in value, but big in confidence. Step by step, I learned how online work really functions.
Later, I moved toward web development and began exploring how to create websites, blogs, and digital platforms that could grow into something bigger. I learned digital marketing, blogging, e-commerce, and freelancing through YouTube videos, free courses, and a lot of trial and error.
I failed many times. Sometimes websites did not grow, sometimes clients disappeared, and sometimes I lost hope. But every failure taught me something useful and pushed me one step ahead.
Last year, in May 2024, I got a chance to move to Dubai. It was not planned, but it opened new doors. I started a small digital agency and began helping local businesses and international clients. Slowly, things started to make sense. From a small town in Balochistan to working with clients from the US, UK, and Europe, the journey felt like a dream that took years to build.
Now through Khalidgraphy, I want to share what I have learned. Not only theory, but real experiences. Not empty motivation, but simple ideas that work in real life. My goal is to help anyone who wants to build a digital career, find extra income, or learn how to grow online with honesty and patience.
This is my way of giving back. I believe knowledge grows when shared. If my story helps even one person from a small town to believe that they can build something online, then it is worth it.
You do not need fancy tools, big degrees, or rich connections to start. You just need patience, focus, and a willingness to learn.
The digital world is open to everyone now. Your background does not define your future. Your effort does.
